FCS confirms slowdown in data exchange on 2 November
The service checked its systems after complaints from electronic document operators but did not say what caused the slowdown.
According to the Federal Customs Service (FCS), Russia’s customs authority, its information systems ran slower than usual on 2 November. The service ran the check after complaints from some electronic document exchange operators, the companies that pass data between foreign trade participants and customs. The operators reported that data exchange was slowing down from time to time.
The FCS published the notice for foreign trade participants on its official channel. It gave no cause for the slowdown. The notice does not say which systems were affected or at what times.
The notice also does not say whether the problem has been resolved or what the service plans to do next.
